Brooke's Top Five

Class 1A-3A Top Five
1. Addison (2-0): Moved up to 2A, but the 2005 1A state champs are still winning. Seems to have filled holes left to graduation well.

2. R.A. Hubbard (1-1): After losing its season opener to Addison, the Chiefs were back in fine form with a win over Brilliant. Another region win this week against Phillips-Bear Creek would put R.A. Hubbard back on a roll.

3. Tanner (2-0): Coming off a close call with West Morgan, the Rattlers host Red Bay this week — a matchup that traditionally has been an important one in the region race.

4. West Morgan (1-1): Turnovers were the Rebels' downfall in a loss to Tanner last week. Needs a road win against Phil Campbell to pull Class 2A, Region 8 record back to even.

5. Speake (2-0): Off to a strong start, Speake has already beaten one of Class 1A's usual standouts, Hazlewood. The Bobcats have the potential to make some noise in 1A, Region 8.
